The hotel industry is basically divided into three types: resorts away from the village and close to Cupe and Muro Alto beaches; small and medium-sized inns in the village center; and rustic or surfer-oriented accommodations on Maracaípe Beach.
When it comes to dining, fish and seafood predominate on Porto’s menus. Most restaurants are concentrated in the village of Porto de Galinhas. At Cupe Beach, you can enjoy the famous chicken in brown sauce, which has been a hit for two decades. Two other good local dining options are the fresh crab and escondidinhos (fish stew).
Porto de Galinhas’ nightlife includes several venues hosting shows, including folklore, rock, reggae, and forró, bars with live music, and special hotel attractions.
